It's not a PDA…it's not a notebook PC…it's a combination of the two. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. It's about the size of a paperback book….and essentially it's two computers in one. Steven Hanley is CEO of the company that makes it….DualCor Technologies….

"It's the world's first ultra portable handtop. It's a handheld desktop that has two operating systems and two processors. One operating system is XP, Tablet Edition 2005. The other operating system is Windows Mobile 5.0." And the average consumer might scratch his head and say…why would you do that? "We do that for two reasons. Number one is battery. Most people have a problem with their XP based notebook or laptop, the battery life is anywhere from one hour to three hours. With our device, because we can run Windows Mobile 5 as an alternative to XP, it burns the battery at a significantly lower rate to the point where we can achieve 300 hours of standby and up to 8 to 12 hours of usage after a full charge. The other key is convenience. People hate booting up their laptop, people hate shutting down their laptop. People don't like the fact that if they just need a simple appointment number, they have to boot up their PC, call up Outlook, it could be six minutes later. By using Windows Mobile, we're instant on, always on, always connected and you can easily access that information."
