"We bend the light at 90 degrees. So we have a prism in here, and the light comes in, and it gets bent 90 degrees and all the zooming happens within the slim body. And to get the 10X zoom, we have two 3.2X zooms basically that work in a relay fashion."
The camera also has another unique feature…built in Bluetooth connectivity…
"With Bluetooth you can send your pictures remotely to printers. You can send your pictures to cell phones. With a cell phone you can then send it anywhere. You can share them to other Bluetooth enabled cameras, although the V610 is the only one out there on the market right now."
The V610 has a list price of about 450 dollars. Kodak has also updated its EasyShare software on its fifth anniversary. The software …designed to simplify the sharing and editing of pictures…is free and can be used with any digital camera. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
