When it comes to backing up what you have stored on your computer, who bothers? I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a report on computers and technology. I don't know of any scientific studies on this, but it would seem to be a safe bet to say that most people don't bother with back-ups. Unless a program like Quicken pesters you all the time, you just forget about it. But the truth is, computers fail. Sooner or later it will happen to you and if you don't back up the documents and data that you have stored, you'll be sorry. You can back up to a Zip drive or other storage device. Hyman says too often people wait until it's too late...
