Video in the home, without wires. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. These days it can take some pretty complex wiring to route cable or satellite video and audio throughout the home. A company called Pegasus Wireless, which helped to develop the 802.11 standards used in wireless computer networks… thinks wireless video may be the next big thing. CEO Jasper Knabb says his company has developed a new device….the WiJET.e… that can bring high quality video …to TVs…without wires…

"Now we're at DVD quality from your PC, any PC, across any 802.11 network, whether it's a, b or g… to a plasma TV, a home theatre or a monitor along with 5 point 1 channel digital surround."

The first product, Knabb says, will arrive on store shelves in October for about four hundred dollars. It will compete with media center extenders on the market today…including in some ways…with Microsoft's Xbox 360. The advantages…

"You have a PC in a closet or an office or wherever, hidden out of the way. You have a wireless remote that controls that, that's WiFi based that runs across your 802.11 network, and you're able to send video to anywhere in your home to any screen."
