"We're going to introduce two new brand new playable races to the game and expand the land mass of our virtual world in The Burning Crusade. To the players out there, they're going to get a lot more of what they already know and love. They've already become immersed in our world. They already know the lands. They love the quests that they get to do, the dungeons that they get to adventure in."
Kaplan seemed a little reluctant to say how much time the average player spends with World of Warcraft...
"We have some data as to what average times are, but it varies greatly by region."
But he says the immersion isn't all bad….
"I know for me and my life, it was an extremely positive thing. I met my wife playing an online game called EverQuest. So I think for a lot of people who aren't social in traditional ways, maybe they don't like going to parties or hanging out at bars, it provides them an opportunity to meet people."
