"The first step is to load our software, Werks software on your personal computer. The second step is to plug in what we call a USB receiver module. You just simply plug it into the outlet behind your computer. And the third step is to walk around your house or small business and plug in cameras. And part of the magic of the system is that we transmit the video over the existing copper wires of your home or business. And then the fourth step is simply log onto WiLife or LukWerks.com, set up a username and password, and then our intelligent software does all the work on the back end to connect you to your cameras from anywhere in the world."

While there is no subscription charge, as there is with some competing systems such as a wireless security kit sold by Motorola, the price is on the high side.
