If bigger equals better, when it comes to TV screens, projectors have a bright future. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Football season is here, the baseball playoffs are on the way and that means sports fans may be buying more big screens. And while those flat plasma and LCD models get most of the attention from buyers, projectors are growing in popularity too. At InFocus, which has been selling projectors to the business community for years, more sales are going these days to residential customers. Global segment manager Matt Christiansen...

"There hasn't been a projector that's been at the right price point, and the right quality point for consumers until now. So the IN72, 74 and 76 that have come out recently from InFocus... fantastic."

The models with a sleek black stylish profile are designed for the home. Pricing starts at under a thousand dollars. The IN74, which can display true high definition...from cable or satellite boxes or the new HD or Blu-Ray DVD players, sells for about two thousand. Keep in mind the screen size you get for that money....can be enormous...depending upon the size room the projector is used in. That, says Christiansen, is the big selling point...

" We're looking at probably a hundred and fifteen inch diagonal. So with the screen and the projector, you're looking at probably under three thousand dollars. You can't get that size of screen in plasma or LCD for anything under 60 thousand dollars."
