Monopoly with a debit card. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Technology is invading all kinds of toys and games…new and old. Hasbro is launching a new version of Monopoly…where players will use pretend debit cards instead of that good old fashioned play money….to buy properties…and pay fines. Hasbro chief operating officer Brian Goldner….says while there is still room in the market for toys with no chips inside…it seems they are found in most new toy lines …

"Well we have two major new products in that category from Tiger Electronics. One is Power Tour Guitar, which allows kids to rock out and learn how to play the electric guitar and jam with the classic rock songs and also play with accompaniment of a band. Second, which is really a breakthrough is our Net Jet product. Net Jet allows kids to play online games with a controller that plugs into their computer, allows them to play more like a video game with full screen graphics. But for parents, it allows them to have the kids play in a garden wall environment. So they're not out on the Internet and there are no pop up ads or other intrusions into their game play. It's a very safe environment for the parents but it's also a great environment and great games that come from Hasbro Games as well as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
