"If you watch an audio visual file remotely, you can get the sound now. If you're like me and you have an IP phone and your voicemail is delivered as a .wav file, you can now hear that using GoToMyPC. Or even if you want to just listen to music and your iTunes is on your remote PC, you can do that."

Also new in version 6.0, is file synchronization…

"And what we wanted to do was make file synchronization easy and not confusing. So we really took a new look at how to sync files between the two PCs, making it easy to be bi-directional, insuring that it's very speedy and that you don't make mistakes and copy over the wrong files. And we made it easy to program or schedule repeat synchronizations for those people that are constantly working on documents between two PCs, to make it very easy for that process to be automated."

GoToMyPC faces increasing competition from products like LogMeIn and others. Pricing starts at about 20 dollars a month for unlimited remote access to a single computer. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
