"Windows Mobile 6 will add a lot of new capabilities. Especially to email users, contact users and calendar users. For example, the whole idea that you can have full fidelity email, rich HTML presented email, means that all the fonts, all the charts, all the pictures that you send in people's email, will appear with full fidelity on the device as well as on any emails you reply to. So that's a huge advantage, which once you've got it on your device as I have, it's very hard to go back from. And that's just one of the many, many examples of new features in Windows Mobile 6."
Knook says a lot of the Windows Mobile sales growth has been coming from everyday consumers....who've been attracted to phones like the Samsung BlackJack and the Motorola Q. About the threat from Apple's upcoming iPhone, Knook says...
"Apple's iPhone I think will be a very good product. It will be exciting to see it enter the market. But at the end of the day, a phone is used primarily for communication purposes. And when we've been in that communications business, we as Microsoft have been in that business for the last five, six years...we've gained a lot of expertise."
