Playing along with your iPod. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. There are more iPod accessories on the market these days than varieties of soup in the grocery store. Among the more unique…are the MiJam Mini line from the B2 division of Bluebox Toys. Plug in your iPod…and a headset or speakers ….into the gadgets that fit in your hand….and you can drum along with your finger tips….. (sound) or with the miJam Mini guitar…strum along…(sound) Senior vice president Jeffrey Lewis…says the mini line is a follow up to the original full sized instrument miJam players…

"The response was very strong and so it gave us the initiative to start a few new devices and Minis were the most current that we've come out with. Mini miJam. So essentially, it's the same concept as our regular miJam but it's now a palm sized device and you can do all the functionality of what the big ones did but with your fingertips and the palm of your hand."

The line also includes a miniature keyboard called Mini Keyz and a Mini Mixer. The music making digital toys sell for about twenty dollars. For kids….and kid-like adults…. miJam can turn plain old passive music listening…into a participatory experience. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin
