Software to exercise your brain. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Nintendo has expanded the market for its video game machines by creating Brain Age…a game that is supposed to help your mental abilities improve. A younger score is better. For more serious exercises….there are a couple of Web sites to consider. HappyNeuron.com and Lumosity.com offer free trials of their online exercises. Lumos Labs co-founder Kunal Sarkar….

"Essentially we take the latest advancements in neuroscience and cognitive psychology and other research around the brain and we convert them into applications that help people improve basic cognitive functions. What that means is, we make games and exercises that improve attention and memory processing speed and other basic cognitive functions."

The training is Web based….so it works with basically any computer…and costs 10 dollars a month or 80 dollars a year. Sarkar's co-founder is a neuroscience graduate of Stanford….and they've enlisted others from that field on the advisory team…to develop the content on the Lumosity site…
