It discovers our server, it discovers the service, it discovers the various other devices that come in your starter kit, including motion sensors, door sensors, cameras, ant ehre's dozens of different devices you can pick and choose from on top of your start kit to really sprinkle your house, if you will, with all these different things. You can monitor and control traffic, with people coming and going, temperature, for example, if you have the thermostat….and set up rules and events so you can kind of know what's happening at your home without even being there using your Web browser of cell phone."
There's no software to install…you access the iControl gateway through a Web browser from a PC on the same network. Set up is simple. Keep in mind…this isn't a substitute for a central station monitored security system. An Advanced Starter Kit sells for 250 dollars and there is a fifteen dollar monthly service fee.
