"Now that the price points on those have come down, people are putting them in their cars. It's just very convenient.…they put in restaurants." They're evolving, too, aren't they? More and more features are showing up in these GPS devices. "Yep. Integrating the Bluetooth, so from your cell phone, it actually will link up to your cell phone if a call comes in, it will kind of break in and you can answer your call through your GPS device. As well as it will hold MP3 files, it will hold video files if you want to take it off the mount and give it to the kids in the back, they can watch video. So they are trying to do a lot more with those products."
While the high definition DVD format war may scare off some buyers…Ryder says falling prices may attract more consumers …
"The price points, whether it's HD or Blu-ray are coming down. The fascinating statistic is thirty percent of all U.S. households have HD TVs, but only thirty percent of those households are actually hooked up to something HD."
