"The advantage is you're able to eliminate that awful part of dialing in to your voicemail box, typing in your password and then listening to your voicemail and writing it down. What we're doing is bringing to every single consumer with a phone, the ability to have their voicemail sent through email as well as SMS right there on their phone, so they can read their voicemail simply and easily." Faster? "Faster absolutely, because what's most important is somebody calls you and leaves you a message and leaves you a number at the end of the message and they rattle it off. With Spinvox you're able to read the message on your phone and directly click on it to call them back or you can send them back an SMS."
Subscriptions cost about five dollars a month....and that includes twenty voicemail conversions. Spinvox says the accuracy of the speech to text is about 97 percent. The service also lets subscribers add to online blogs by phone. One drawback is, there can be a delay between the time a voicemail is left and the time you receive it in text.
