Visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial…on the Web. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. It has been more than 25 years since the dedication of what has come to be called The Wall…by many veterans and the loved ones of the 58 thousand men and women who died in the Vietnam War. The National Parks Service has information about the Memorial on its Web site….and there have been other sites designed to allow people to virtually visit. Thewall-usa.com is operated by a veterans group…and includes a database of the names. A company called Footnote.com, which is in the process of digitizing the National Archives….has digitized the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as well. What's unique…is that it has done it with photographs. CEO Russ Wilding….

"We actually hired Peter Krough, a National Geographic photographer, to go in and to image the Vietnam Wall. He took over 6 thousand photos and then stitched them together. He actually used about 15 hundred of those and stitched them all together into one image. And so every single name on that wall now is an individual document that is a part of a larger document. But we have the ability now to interact with each individual name on that wall."
