"So the goal of Ztail is essentially the pricing guide for every product under the sun. Like the Kelly Blue Book is for cars, we're doing this for all products new and used."
How does Ztail come up with its figures for what things are worth?
"We have data on millions of products. We use new product pricing. We use product information from eBay. And the twist...the thing that we do differently than I think anybody else is actually we allow the consumers to input data based on information that they have. So if I put a product up there, another Ztail user, a member of the community, can come in and give me feedback on how much they think my items are worth."
The site will help you put your stuff up for sale on eBay as well. That's one of the ways it hopes to make money. The bigger the Ztail community grows...the more valuable in may become in helping you determine how much your items are worth. The site has created an application on Facebook....that is kind of like a Price is Right...guessing game for products. For consumers...the site is free to use. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
