Using technology to match you with the right job. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Various algorithms are used by online dating services to try to pair people with each other. Now a site called Realmatch is using technology to pair people with employers. Rafael Cosentino is VP of business development...

"The matching technology is really unique because it's a two way relationship. If you're familiar with search technology it's really a one way relationship. If you do a search on a job board or on Google, you're really looking for a document but the document's not looking for you. And matching is all about two entities who are seeking each other out. And that's what real match does. It's an employer who's looking for a specific type of applicant and a job seeker who is also looking for that same type of job. And that's what the matching technology does. It screens, grades and ranks jobs."

The technology is being used by about eleven hundred companies around the country already....and is free for individuals looking for employment to use.

"For the job seeker it's really amazing, you can actually see your match results in about 90 seconds. You go on, you describe yourself. You build a profile detailing your skills. Let's say if you're a nurse, you would type in I'm a nurse and it would say great, here's 34 skills a nurse might have. Tell us which ones you have."
