One camera good enough for your photos and videos? Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. FujiFilm has announced the S2000HD... a camera that is among a new generation that will finally allow consumers to take just one camera on vacation...or to a family event...to shoot high quality still pictures and video. On the still side....marketing manager David Troy says ...
"It's a ten megapixel, fifteen times optical zoom, with a 2.7 inch LCD. The 15X zoom on this goes from a 27.6, so an extreme wide angle, up to a 414 millimeter equivalent in the telephoto zoom."
It's light sensitivity...or ISO rating...goes up to 64 hundred and it can shoot up to 13.5 frames per second...but at a lower resolution. And on the video side...
"This camera is our first HD compatible camera. So it captures still pictures and movies in a true 16 by 9 aspect ratio and has the resolution and image quality to really give the full experience of an HD home theatre system."
The price, of about 300 dollars, seems like a bargain....for a long zoom camera...without even counting the video capability. The S2000HD uses AA batteries...alkaline or rechargeable....which can be a plus for travelers as well. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
