Internet radio...goes upscale. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Using any personal computer...you can listen to radio stations from just about anywhere in the world...from Russia.... (sound) to Ireland... (sound). But if you have a WiFi router at home....instead of using a PC to listen....you can simply use an Internet Radio to tune into stations near and far. And some models are top of the line. Sonoro of Germany makes the very modern looking Elements line....

"This is an Internet radio solution, which has also the iPod docking station, so you can pretty much have access to I think it's more than ten thousand radio stations from across the world."

The stylish black lacquer design...includes a more standard clock radio as well...and sells for about five hundred dollars. A model without the Internet radio capability sells for half the price. Another high end design comes from Tivoli Audio, where CEO Tom DeVesto says...

"We call this product NetWorks and we really consider it a global networking product. It will receive radio stations over the Internet either through an Ethernet connection or WiFi, but it will also network in your home, if you have say a computer in your home office."
