Turning a Windows Mobile phone...into an Internet hotspot. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. There are a number of ways you can connect to the Internet wherever you happen to be. All of the wireless carriers sell cards or USB devices that you can use with laptops. But that can be expensive. There are even routers on the market that you can use with those cards...for sharing the Internet connection. But you can do all of that...with a wide variety of smartphones that use the Windows Mobile operating system....using a little software application called WM WiFiRouter created by Morose Media based in the Netherlands. A couple of cautionary notes....you'll probably want to plug your phone in to a power source...in the car for instance...to avoid draining the phone's battery. And some wireless carriers may also require you to pay a tethering fee....to use your smartphone for an Internet connection. That said, set up on the mobile phone is pretty simple. The price?
