Turning a Windows Mobile phone...into an Internet hotspot. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. There are a number of ways you can connect to the Internet wherever you happen to be. All of the wireless carriers sell cards or USB devices that you can use with laptops. But that can be expensive. There are even routers on the market that you can use with those cards...for sharing the Internet connection. But you can do all of that...with a wide variety of smartphones that use the Windows Mobile operating system....using a little software application called WM WiFiRouter created by Morose Media based in the Netherlands. CEO Werner Van Alphen....

"It changes your Windows Mobile phone into an Internet hotspot so you can share your Internet connection, your data plan if you will from your Windows Mobile phone to other devices. So that can be a notebook or the iPod Touch or various other devices. But mainly it's used for a replacement for the more expensive alternatives which are Internet dongles for your notebook."

A couple of cautionary'll probably want to plug your phone in to a power the car for avoid draining the phone's battery. And some wireless carriers may also require you to pay a tethering use your smartphone for an Internet connection. That said, set up on the mobile phone is pretty simple. The price? About 30 dollars.
