Flickr focuses on mobile. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. The photo and video sharing site owned by Yahoo....with over 30 million registered users....continues to add features that allow you to connect the service to your mobile phone. Getting pictures from your mobile phone onto the service to share instantly....is as simple as using a special Flickr upload email address. The site has also upgraded its mobile Web site...m.flickr.com...with the improvements initially available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and T-Mobile G1. Flickr general manager Kakul Srivastava says sharing photos and videos from mobile phones...is catching on fast....

"It's what people have with them wherever they are when they're trying to share their lives. It's the easiest thing to whip out and take photos...and video too actually. We launched the capability to upload video about six months ago and we've seen that grow from mobile handsets."

While the basic Flickr membership is free, pro accounts allow the uploading of video and unlimited storage of photos. The price is about 25 dollars a year. Whether with Flickr...or other online photo storage and sharing sites....the idea of saving your images at a place other than your home...is smart....

"There's a really strong attachment. You know that story, there's a fire in the house, what do you run into your house to grab, you run in to grab the photos."
