With consumers cutting their spending, how does Sony hope to sell the Playstation 3. I'm Fred Fishkin with Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. Nintendo has had the hottest selling video game console with the Wii. Microsoft has cut the entry level price of its Xbox 360 to about two hundred dollars....or about half the price of Sony's Playstation 3. But for lots of households with high def flat screen TVs in the family room...the PS3 may be a good bargain. Marketing manager Kim Nguyen..
"The PS3 comes with a high definition Blu-ray player. In addition to the Blu-ray player, we have several multimedia functionalities. You can upload your personal videos and display it on your television. We also allow you to upload photos, personal photos. And you can create these great slide shows."
Sony is forging agreements to allow PS3 owners to download movies and TV shows directly to the console. What's clear is that video game consoles aren't just for gaming anymore. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
