New features in digital SLR cameras. I'm Fred Fishkin with Technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. How do you spur consumer interest in higher end digital cameras in a tough economy? Add some cool new features. Canon has just announced the Rebel T1i....and it is the first consumer priced digital SLR that features HD video recording. It can shoot about 12 minutes at a time of 1080p video. The magic comes in what you can do with those SLR interchangeable lenses....and the control you have over things like blurred backgrounds. With a lens, the Rebel T1i will sell for about 900 dollars when it arrives in May.
Already on the market is the latest in the Olympus digital SLR line-up, the E-30. What's new here are built in art filters. Another neat feature is a built in digital leveler...designed to prevent one of the most common mistakes ....that unintentional tilt of the camera. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
