In car Internet as a dealer option. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. The folks at Cadillac insist it is not another driver distraction. The wireless Internet being offered beginning next month in CTS Sport designed for passengers or only for drivers when the car is parked. The technology , says marketing executive director Steve Shannon, is a partnership with Autonet Mobile...

"If you think about today's life being almost a constant search for a good WiFi signal, we thought what better way to take that to the next level than to have it right in your car."

The option will cost about five hundred dollars and a monthly service subscription at twenty nine dollars a month. So who will want it?

" I mean there's some people that certainly have kids that may be passengers in the back seat. I think there are people that work that have various business needs that can pull over for a few minutes. "

The Internet is provided through a 3G mobile connection. You can find us at I'm Fred Fishkin.
