More hands on with the Palm Pre. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. So how good is that new phone from Palm designed to take on the iPhone? The simple answer is very. It is small, sleek...and intuitive. Maybe not quite as intuitive as the iPhone...but pretty close. Even though it is a little too cramped...the slide out keyboard is usable...and many will find it easier to use than the onscreen typing required on the iPhone or Blackberry Storm. It would have been better if Palm had lined up more downloadable apps for the launch...but the list is growing. At Sprint...which initially has an exclusive on the Pre.... Business Markets President Paget Alves expects big things from the little smartphone...
