Lenovo's Latest ThinkPad...Thin, Light Rugged

Techstination feature for Wednesday, July 1, 2009

It's thin and light but rugged. Lenovo is out with a new ThinkPad. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The marketing is often aimed at corporate customers....but the durability and reputation of Lenovo's ThinkPad line of laptops wins over many everyday consumers as well. And the latest in the line, the T400s, provides a good balance of size, weight and power. About 4 pounds with a 14 inch screen. Marketing manager David Critchley...

"It's thinner and lighter, which is the direction of the industry. But also the design makes it run cooler and we're also able to add some new features. We're well known for our keyboards and we think we've made it even better."

The T400s also includes technology to make the most of voice over IP communications. Pricing starts at about 16 hundred dollars. Being built to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use of road warriors...does carry a price. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at I'm Fred Fishkin.
