Videoconferencing Made Simple

Videoconferencing made simple. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Cameras are being built into laptops of all sizes these days....but setting them up for video conferencing using programs like Skype or Windows Live Messenger....can be daunting for some. Logitech's new software called Vid...makes it easy. The comany's GM for Internet communications, Gina Clark...

"You download the application and all you have to do is enter your email address to register an account. And then to add a friend all you have to do is basically know their email address and you can enjoy video calling with each other."

The software is free...but there is a catch. To use it beyond a thirty day free trial period you have to be using a Logitech WebCam....or have been invited by someone who is using one. Logitech is hoping to sell higher quality WebCams to consumers...even if they have a built in camera in their machine. You can find us, with archives, interviews and more...at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
