A Windows 7 tiny tablet PC. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. Archos, which has been best known for its innovations in portable media players, has announced plans for a new tablet PC that will be available shortly after the launch of Windows 7 this fall. The Archos 9PCtablet ...will be a little more than half an inch thick and weigh about 28 ounces. General Manager Ron Ferguson...

"It will have Windows 7 operating system on it. A gigabyte of RAM. The touch screen will have 16 million colors and have a resolution of 1024 by 600...or HD. You'll have stereo speakers."

While pricing has not been announced...Ferguson says the new tablet will be in the five to six hundred dollar range...a bit higher than typical netbooks. You can find us on the Web with archives, interviews and more...at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
