Walk around any mall or downtown and you'll see that for many is a social experience. Friends or family members browsing in stores...and chatting...should I buy this or shouldn't I. Now a new browser plug-in called Friendshopper...aims to bring that experience to buying online. CEO Josh Bochner says you and your friends or family members can download the plug-in for free from

"Once it's open you can actually go to any store, click on the bookmarklet, share items with friends, and your friends that are online, you can initiate conversations with them. And both share images, back and forth from different stores."

There are features that make comparison shopping easier as well on the Web. You can find more information and the plug-in at You can find us with archives, interviews and more at I'm Fred Fishkin.
