New Tag Learning Systems From Leap Frog

Techstination feature for Thursday, July 23, 2009

Playing a game of tag...sure has changed. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. Playing tag used to mean running around the playground and shouting ..."You're it!". These days when kids are playing tag...they're learning to read on an electronic gadgets from Leap Frog. What's new is a system called Tag Junior....designed for toddlers. Senior producer Farnoosh Seifoddini...

"So instead of the Tag Reader which is a pen like shape, we actually have the Tag Junior Book Pal...which is kind of stamping like motion for the toddlers. It looks like a little guy ...looks like a little person."

Toddlers stamp down on the words...and they're read aloud. For older kids...there's a new Tag Reader ...and new titles...

"For older kids what we've got new in the line is a Tag Reader with twice as much memory as before. You can now store up to ten books on your Tag Reader at a time. And we also have a new series of comic books."

You can find the Tag Reader on line for about forty dollars. You can find us...this week with the chance to win a FujiFilm Camera at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
