Does your home need a media hub? I'm Fred Fishkin with technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. As more and more of us collect mountains of digital photos and video and music....the question becomes...where to store it. Leave it all on one computer and you're asking for trouble. Hard drives eventually crash. Cisco Systems has updated its line of consumer friendly Linksys Media Hubs. PR manager Trevor Bratton...

"The new version of the Media Hub is actually a drive-less version so the consumer can choose what size drive they want to put into the two available bays, where the earlier version came with either a 500 gigabyte or a terabyte. Now the consumer can choose what size they want to go with at a lower price point of 199."

What does this do for the consumer?

"This brings together all of the media that's on their network...all the photos, music and videos."

The Media Hub's graphical interface may be especially useful in less tech savvy households. You can find us with archives, interviews and more...at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
