More innovations from Eye-Fi. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology Boot Camp, a report on gadgets and gear. It's a company that has been winning lots of fans for its technology that builds a WiFi connection into SD memory cards. Pop one in your digital camera and your photos can be wireless transmitted to your favorite online picture sharing service...and onto the hard drive of your computer. Now Eye-Fi, with its new Pro model, has enabled the transmission of pictures in the RAW format used by higher end cameras and photographers. Beyond that CEO Jeff Holove...says Eye-Fi has added new features for all users....

"It includes something we call Hotspot access. So you, for instance, can just walk into a McDonald's, turn on your camera and it will start uploading your photos just like you were at home and it also includes a service that we call geotagging."

That embeds the location where the picture was taken into the file. Prices for Eye-Fi models start at under a hundred dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
