Ford is making a feature called MyKey standard equipment on the new 2010 Focus and Taurus...and it is coming to other models as well. MyKey lets parents ...for instance...give young drivers in the family a pre-programmed car key. Ford's director of electronics systems engineering Jim Buczkowski...
"For example, they can set a speed warning at 45, 55 or 65 miles an hour. They can set the radio to a maximum of...around 45...50 percent of maximum volume and so on. And there's a few other settings as well. Maximum speed for the vehicle up to 80 miles an hour. And once those are set, the vehicle operates...using MyKey...within those limits."
