Financial Web Site Geared for the Average Joe or Jane

Techstination feature for Thursday, September 10, 2009

A financial Web site for the average Joe or Jane. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. There are plenty of financial Web sites out there, but often they are geared at those who seem to talk a different language. A site called as a partnership between IAC and the Wall Street Journal... is designed to provide information and advice that just about everyone can understand and use. FiLife President Ezra Kucharz says one of the keys to the site... is the communities it creates...

"We not only have the FiLife experts answering the questions, we have everyday consumers answering the questions, we have bloggers answering questions. So you may ask a question, something simple, and you may get five answers . Then the community can also vote up and down what are the best answers. It may not always be from the expert."

What you find is a lot of straight talk about saving, spending, investing, taxes and more. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at I'm Fred Fishkin.
