Techstination feature for Friday, October 2, 2009

Pictures that are worth a thousand words. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Actually, in this digital world, one picture can say a thousand words or more. A company called Reallusion is out with a new version of CrazyTalk a program that lets you animate photographs. It's easy to create a talking pet, for instance, whether it's a dog or cat or even a fish. Marketing VP John Martin...

"Inside Crazy Talk 6 we've introduced a camera system that lets you do Ken Burns kind of style and zoom across your animations and be able to change the focus of the camera from who is talking, because that's something new that's in Crazy Talk 6. Now, in Crazy Talk 6, you can make multiple characters come to life."

The software is simple and fun to use and the results can be hilarious. The standard edition sells for about fifty dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at I'm Fred Fishkin.
