Will you be reading a book on a Nook? I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Barnes and Noble calls it the Nook. It's own little eBook reader with slick features like a color navigation bar and built in WiFi....and technology that will let owners lend electronic books to friends. The WiFi...initially will be for use only in Barnes and Noble stores. And those stores, says the company's VP for digital products, Douglas Gottlieb...give it an advantage over competitors like Amazon's Kindle...

"Barnes and Noble is uniquely positioned to introduce ebooks to the world really. With 700 stores in all fifty states, we have tens of millions of customers coming through our doors each day. They'll get to touch the Nook, pick it up, play with it, get a great demonstration from one of our booksellers and learn about ebooks first hand. We think that's an incredible opportunity."
