An Updated Ooma

An updated Ooma. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Ooma, the voice over IP phone service that promises no more monthly bills, is out with a newly designed system called Telo. It is an alternative to the Ooma Hub and Ooma Scout devices that have been on the market for over a year. Chief marketing officer Rich Buchanan...

"The Telo marks a second generation hardware introduction and we've incorporated, in addition to all the functionality of the original series Dect 6.0 wireless connectivity and a new standard that's evolving called CAT-iq, which is a 20 megabit per second data channel."

The design is sleeker as well. The price for the base is about 250 dollars with wireless handsets priced at about 50 dollars. The system can also work with any wired or wireless phones and once you buy it...there are no more monthly phone bills unless you opt for the company's Premier service with additional features. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
