Another new Pen from Olympus. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Olympus got plenty of attention with the release earlier this year of its first Pen digital camera ...the EP1. It's SLR like features in a lightweight camera with interchangeable lenses created lots of demand. Now Olympus has made some improvements with the new EP2. Product manager Richard Pelkowski...
"As you can see it looks very similar to its predecessor, the EP1, but you'll note there is now this device on top of the hot shoe, which is an electronic viewfinder. The EP1 was a tremendously successful launch for us. Even so, people always ask you to improve it and to add certain things into the camera. And the two big things that people asked us to incorporate in the next model were an electronic viewfinder and external microphone capability."
That can be used when shooting high definition video. You can find more information at Olympus.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
