An electronic learning game that gets kids on their feet. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and fear. LeapFrog calls it the Zippity Learning System. It is mat with a waist high joystick....that connects wirelessly to a console that plugs into a TV. The games feature Disney characters and says VP Jim Cullinan, the system is designed to get three to five year olds moving while they learn...
"So they jump up and down. They count. They move cars back and forth with a joystick that's perfectly fit for them. So it's not a Wii control type game, but it allows a child to stay active, have fun, while learning."
The Zippity system sells for under eighty dollars and comes with a variety of games and activities. Additional titles sell for about twenty five dollars. You can find more info at LeapFrog.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and a gadget buying guide at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
