Sharing Live Video With an iPhone

Sharing live video with an iPhone. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It's not quite mobile video conferencing...at least not yet. But the folks at a company called Pointy Heads Software are out with an iPhone app that allows live video sharing. Lead developer and co-founder Brian Meehan says the app was initially rejected by Apple....but following a pleading email to Steve Jobs, that decision was reversed and Knocking Live Video made it into the app store. Meehan says because it uses the still camera....it will work with the 3G iPhone as well as the newer 3Gs...

"The experience is quite amazing when you take an iPhone 3G that does not have a 3Gs camera and now all of a sudden can knock a friend and send live video."

The app works with 3G or WiFi connections but there have been glitches in the early going. Hopefully the Pointy Heads folks will get those ironed out. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
