Video Camera Meant to be Worn

Techstination feature for Wednesday, December 16, 2009

A video camera meant to be worn. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. There are all kinds of little camcorders on the market these days. It seems like everyone has followed Flip into the market. An exception is a company called VHoldR....which makes a heavy duty tube shaped camera called the Contour HD. CEO Marc Barros ....

"It's an HD wearable camcorder. And so if you're an outdoor enthusiast or a skier or a snowboarder, we make a little video camera that you wear on your helmet, your hat, your gear. Fits in the palm of your hand and records beautiful high definition video."

And the trick is...the Contour HD has on and off and recording controls that you can easily use without looking...even while wearing gloves. And the video quality is superb. There have been cameras on the market that appeared similar....but were more like toys in comparison. Pricing starts at under 280 dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin
