A bright idea from Lenovo... the Skylight. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It's a cross between a mobile phone and a netbook. Lenovo has announced what it calls the Skylight smartbook....with a 10.6 inch screen...a processor from Qualcomm...and a curved design. With built in WiFi and 3G, worldwide segment manager Charles Sune says...
"It's primarily targeted toward those customers that intend to do a lot of Web browsing, a lot of applications that are Web based type applications. It provides very strong battery life. We'll see in excess of ten hours of battery life."
The announcements from Lenovo at the International Consumer Electronics Show don't end there. Also new...an IdeaPad netbook with a multitouch screen and the ThinkPad Edge...in multicolors...with AMD processors at prices starting at 549 dollars. You can find us on the Web, with CES coverage this week and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
