Intel promises more power and performance. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. At this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Intel is releasing three families of chips, the i3, i5 and i7 that promise consumers more power and more performance....and they are all based on the company's 32 nanometer manufacturing process. "We have some features and capabilities that allow the microprocessor really to dynamically adapt to what you're doing with your PC and give you better performance and a better experience. The Core i3 product has hyper-threading which allows it to process four tasks at one time and do so while consuming very little energy. At the Core i5 product above that we introduce a feature called Turbo Boost technology."
