Will you be lining up to buy Apple's iPad? I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Just about ten years after Microsoft announced its operating system for Tablet PCs... Apple is introducing the iPad....a sleek tablet...that is designed for everything from Web browsing, to playing games, to reading electronic books. With prices starting at about five hundred dollars, expect to see lines forming around Apple stores when the iPad arrives. Michael Gartenberg, VP of strategy and analysis at Interpret says it won't be a very tough sell...

"Apple has already taught the consumer about multi-touch. They've taught them about applications, they've taught them about iTunes, they've taught them about iPod. Now they have to teach them about form factor, but it's a lot easier when you've taught them all of the other stuff."

There is plenty of reason for other makers of ebook readers...like Amazon, Sony and Barnes and Noble...to be worried. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
