Norton 360 Adds Remote Access to Files

Norton 360 adds remote file access. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Norton 360 is Symantec's flagship security suite for PCs and the latest, just announced, version... adds a new twist. In addition to being able to back up your files to Symantec's servers....you can access them from anywhere. Product management director Dan Nadir...

"In the past, you could backup and restore from the product and that was really all you did with the backup. With V 4, we're actually unlocking all that data and we're giving users the ability to get at it from a Web browser, which means that they can connect securely, they can get access to their data. And they can even email those files to other users."

You're limited to just 2 gigabytes with the 80 dollar version, which covers three PCs. Twenty dollars more ups that to 25 gigabytes. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
