When it comes to scanners...you can take it with you. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. PlanOn Systems Solutions is out with an update to its Docupen line of pocket scanners...and the new Xtreme Series adds Bluetooth capability. What would you need that for in a portable scanner? The company's Andy Narsingh... says it can send scanned documents wirelessly to BlackBerry or Windows Mobile phones...
"We support Pocket PC and BlackBerry. Right now, I'm going to show you with the BlackBerry, and there's the image zoomed in. And then you can now email it or upload it to a server as needed." Obviously it works with a PC as well. "With a PC, USB or Bluetooth. Also works with our office in a pocket theme for PrintStick which has self contained paper, a Bluetooth printer."
The color scanner ...up to 12 hundred dpi....looks like an oversized pen and produces impressive results. The price....under 370 dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
