A laptop stand that folds like a fan. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. There are lots of laptop stands on the market today... and they are fine for use in the home or office....but taking them with you on the road...is not always so easy. Many won't even fit into a laptop carrying case. That's where a folding metallic stand from a company called AViiQ...really makes a difference. Inspired by Origami, it folds like a fan to less than half an inch thick and is made from an aluminum composite that is very light. Co-founder Alan Yeung says it is strong enough to support everything from gaming laptops to netbooks...
"So far we've tried almost every laptop on the market and it seems to work very well with all of them."
The eighty dollar price may be an obstacle to some. But for commuters who can really make use of the most portable laptop stand around, the investment is worthwhile. You can find more information and the store at AViiQ.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
