An improved personal locator device. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Zoombak is the maker of a lightweight little gadget ...that's about an inch wide...two inches long and half an inch thick.....and it is designed to go anywhere....on a child, a pet, in a car....and it allows you to track where it is from any Web browser or mobile phone. The problem was...until now it could only work outdoors. Now, Marketing VP John Cullen says, Zoombak has added what it calls Locate Assist....
"And basically what that is, it allows you to track the Zoombak device indoors by using cellular tower data. And you can get a pretty good fix within about a hundred meters of where the device is at any given time."
Zoombak sells for about a hundred dollars and unlimited tracking service costs as little as 13 dollars a month. You can find more information at Zoombak.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
