Yahoo introduces Sketch-a-Search. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Finding new and different ways to search for things isn't such a simple task. The folks at Yahoo have managed to create a new experience in an iPhone app called Sketch-a-Search. Yahoo Mobile VP David Katz....

"Today if you want to find something in a particular neighborhood, you maybe use the GPS on the phone or you maybe type in a zip code. Sketch-a-Search presents you a map and allows you to actually draw on the map the specific area that you want to go to. So you could literally take a neighborhood in your city, draw a circle around it, and that becomes where you're searching. We're launching the app as a restaurant search engine but our intent is to make it a really robust drawing based search application for all types of local search."
